The Manchester Brotherhood in Action (BIA) proudly announces that our annual community breakfast will benefit the families of Jayden Szkirka of East Hartford and Icek Dejesus of Manchester. In March 2019, 10-year old Jayden was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, a serious type of bone cancer. Now, 11 years old, Jayden is feeling better and is remaining positive with the support of his mother, father, 3 sisters. Six year old Icek suffered a traumatic brain injury when he was just 3 months old and now suffers from cerebral palsy as a result. He is confined to a wheel chair, is legally blind, and has limited speech. Icek attends school in Manchester where he is enrolled in the first grade. This year’s event will be held on Sunday February 23 from 9 AM- 12 Noon at the Masonic Temple located at 25 East Center St. Manchester, CT. Tickets may be purchased in advance or at the door, $7 for adults and $4 for children. Proceeds will help the families offset expenses incurred from medical bills.
